We are becoming increasingly interested in purchasing high-quality products, which is why we place such a value for products with the Spanish Denomination of Origin. But do we have a clear understanding of what this qualification actually means?

DESIGNATIONS OF ORIGIN IN SPAIN

Protected Designations of Origin (D.O. ), also known as Protected Designations of Origin (P.D.O. ), are a system used in our country to recognize a differentiated quality as a result of its own and distinct characteristics due to the geographical environment in which raw materials are produced, products are made, and the influence of the human factor involved.

In order for a wine to obtain the Denomination of Origin, it must meet the following requirements:

-The wines must be produced in the Denomination of Origin's region or specific location, using grapes grown solely in that area.

-They must have distinct qualities and a level of excellence that can only be attained because of the geographical setting in which they were created.

-Because of their origin, they must have a high level of market prestige.

-At least five years must have passed after the wine was identified as a product of that region to be recognized as a Denomination of Origin.

In Spain we have a total of 70 Denomination of Origin of wine and in our marketplace you can find your favorite ones
